After enabling Solr search and browsing the Madisons starter store, you notice that the Apache error_log in IBMIHS/logs contains errors and is too large.

Problem

The Apache error_log in IBMIHS/logs contains error messages similar to the following example:

Solution

1. In the following directory:
   • /WAS_installdir/profiles/demo_solr/config/cells/demo_search_cell/nodes/demo_search_node/servers/solrWebserver
   Locate the following files:
   • plugin-key.kdb
   • plugin-key.sth
2. Copy plugin-key.kdb and plugin-key.sth to /usr/WebSphere/Plugins/config/solrWebserver.
3. Change the file permission settings for each of the following folders from 0750 to 0755:
   • /usr/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/demo_solr/config/cells/demo_search_cell/nodes/demo_search_node/servers/solrWebserver/demo_solr
   • /usr/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/demo_solr/config/cells/demo_search_cell/nodes/demo_search_node/servers/solrWebserver/servers
