The IBM WebSphere Application Server Migration Toolkit team is pleased to announce the availability of Version 3.5 of the Migration Toolkit. It is available for download from our downloads page.

All Application Migration Tools include the following new features:

Migration of applications to WebSphere Application Server V8.5 (In addition to support to V7, V8)
Simplified and dynamic rule set selection
Enhanced developer experience - compatibility with the IBM WebSphere Application Server Developer Tools for Eclipse including the Liberty Profile Developer Tools
Expanded Java SE migration coverage added to all the migration tools including Java 7 and Oracle to IBM Java migration
Platform currency - Eclipse 3.7 and Rational Application Developer V8.5 support
Service enhancements

Competitive Application Migration Tools include the following new features:
A new Application Migration Tool for migrating applications from Apache Tomcat to WebSphere Application Server. (Including to new V8.5 Liberty Profile)
Migration of applications to the new V8.5 Liberty Profile (In addition to V8.5 Full Profile)
Detection of Spring, Hibernate, and SEAM open source frameworks with additional support for using Spring on WebSphere Application Server
Expanded rule set for WebLogic

WebSphere Application Migration Tool includes the following new features:
Improved ease of install through Eclipse Marketplace (For Application Migration Tool - WebSphere version to version)
Expanded coverage - Additional rules for version migrations
